SATURDAY, AUGUST 1st — 9:30 PM Piazzale della Chiesa di San Bartolomeo Prose Theater ALIENI IN LAGUNA by and with Andrea Pennacchi music by Giorgio Gobbo, performed live (guitar and vocals) texts by Andrea Pennacchi, Marco Gnaccolini, Marco Segato, Raffaele Pizzatti Sertorelli a Galapagos Produzioni production in co-production with Artesella in collaboration with Orto botanico – Università di Padova distribution by Terry Chegia – Alieni in Laguna is an eco-narrative ballad exploring our relationship with biodiversity. This epic and ironic musical performance delves into our complex, unbalanced, and at times schizophrenic yet essential bond with the other animal and plant species on the planet. It invites the audience to reflect on the very concept of "alien" and the urgent need to redefine our connection with Nature. From the unexpected return of wildlife to cities during lockdown, starting from a small communal garden seen as a gritty, contemporary Eden, the play enters the Era of Plasticity and Ecological Amnesia. Here, wild boars, bears, wolves, blue crabs, and fireflies—like ancestral spirits wandering through apartment blocks and tavern-dwelling humans—merge into a forest of stories to reflect on our origins and the ecological impact of our lives. A theatrical narrative blending reality and fantasy, history and biography, science and Venetian folklore: "my grandmother, who was a bit of a witch, used to say that if animals enter your dreams, they always have something to tell you." – Tickets: 15 euro (full price) 13 euro (reduced for under 26, over 65, and visitors with disabilities/Disability Card.
